Online Safety

What is Online Safety?

It can be called E Safety (or e-safety), Online Safety or Internet Safety, but it all means the same thing. It’s about risk; it’s about being aware of the possible threats that online activity can bring, and how to deal with them.

At school we teach children about keeping safe while they use digital technology supported by eAWARE.

As a whole school we complete a self evaluation of online safety annually using 360 degree safe and test our internet filter each term.

Cyber bullying is any form of bullying which takes place online or through smartphones and tablets. Social networking sites, messaging apps, gaming sites and chat rooms such as Facebook, XBox Live, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat and other chat rooms are all places where cyberbullying can take place. We have a number of user guides below to help with some of these popular sites.
